Canberra International Music Festival: Carillon Miniatures

The National Carillon continues to ring new bells!  No less than ten new pieces receive their world premiere during the 2017 Canberra International Music Festival.

Played by Lead Carillonist Lyn Fuller and Senior Carillonist Dr Thomas Laue the ten miniature compositions can be heard around Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin before they pack their bags to play the pieces in the Barcelona carillon.

The ten miniatures last approximately 60 minutes and includes music by Gerard Brophy, Judith Clingan AM, Andrew Ford, Matthew Hindson AM, Elena Kats-Chernin, Becky Llewellyn, Kate Moore, Jessica Wells and Larry Sitsky AM and Christopher Sainsbury from ANU School of Music.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
