Debussy Recital

In honour of the 100th anniversary of the death of Claude Debussy, twelve students from the ANU piano studio present a recital of his Preludes for piano. These pieces are like miniature tone poems, each accompanied by a descriptive title and suffused with delicate sonorities and pianistic pastels. This recital features a 1911 Blüthner piano (on generous loan from Christian Fabricius to the ANU Keyboard Institute), an instrument that closely resembles Debussy’s own Blüthner from 1904.
