so ravaged the famous Polish composer for nearly half of his life. In a colourful visual presentation,
he reveals how he became drawn into this mystery, how seriously this disease affected Chopin’s life, his compositions, his efforts at a love life, and ends with an unforgettable image of the composer’s actual heart, preserved in the Church of the Holy Cross, Warsaw. 
The presentation will be accompanied by selections of Chopin’s music performed by the pianist Konrad Olszewski.
Dr Lagerberg is a retired physician, founder of the Northwest Council of the Chopin Foundation and is an amateur musicologist. His book Chopin’s heart: the quest to identify the mysterious illness of the
world’s most beloved composer was published in 2011.
