Catch up on Corelli

Thursday 7 November 2013

The workshop “Global Corelli: Fame and Music in the Early Modern World”, presented by the ANU School of Music on November 4-5 was a rich and fulfilling experience.

We are extremely grateful to our special guests from around the globe who contributed to this very special event, presenting adacemic papers, lecture-recitals and culminating in a wonderful performance by the ANU School of Music Chamber Ensemble and special guests. This fascinating journey through the life and works of Corelli and his peers was artfully steered by Dr David R. M. Irving.

You can catch up on the lecture-recitals that were live-streamed on Tuesday:

Video 2: Performance of Corelli trio sonata Op.4 no.2 (on which the melody of the song is based)
Video 3: Modern world-premiere performance of “A Malay Song” (Aceh, c.1784)
