Community School of Rock

Ever dreamed of being a rock star, but never had the time and resources to make it happen?

Do you want to take the stage with a group of like-minded peers and make your rock star dreams come true?

The ANU Open School of Music's Community School of Rock is your chance to find your inner rock star!

In partnership with teachers of The Bec Taylor School of Music and staff from the ANU Open School of Music, during this 10 week course you'll learn core musical concepts including song-writing, arrangement and instrumentation and the key skills needed to polish, practice and perform your own songs.

Classes begin on Saturday 16th of March and run every Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM through until the 25th of May, with a break for the Easter long weekend.

Applications have now closed for our Semester 1 program.  If you would like to register for our waiting list, or to express your interest in future programs, please complete our webform here.

You may also like to subscribe to our Open School for Adults newsletter - short workshops in songwriting and music production are planned for later this year.
