Developing Musicians Program fees

Thanks to a generous grant from ArtsACT, the Developing Musicians Program fees are subsidized and maintained at a very low rate. Fees go toward instrument maintenance, masterclasses from visiting artists, performance opportunities, administration and music resources for the Open School.

Non-ACT students may apply for the Developing Musicians Program, however placement preference is given to ACT students, and class limits in all components do apply. Please see the schedule below for fee details.

Fee Schedule
Music Development Program Fee per semester Total annual fee
Theory/Aural $120 $240
Choir $170 $340
Chamber Ensembles $270 $540

Individual instrumental tuition

Developing Musicians Program students are required to continue learning to play their instrument by undertaking individual instrumental tuition each week in addition to their development activities at the Open School of Music.

Individual instrumental tuition is negotiated privately between student and teacher (see the School's list of Performance Teaching Fellows) and students will need to pay individual tuition fees directly to their teacher.
