Can you picture yourself performing as part of a small jazz band, learning the skills you need improvise through the window of early New Orleans jazz music?
Want to acquire the confidence to improvise via an aural learning tradition, rather than using notated music?
The ANU Open School of Music is offering the chance to join a new, free, Tuesday night program. Participants should be proficient with their instrument to an equivalent of AMEB Grade 5 or above.
All traditional jazz instruments will be accepted, with other instruments considered on a case by case basis.
We will be in touch by the 4th of February to confirm your participation in the program.
Classes start on Tuesday 18th of February, and run each week during term time from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Term 1: Monday 17 February to Friday 3 April
Term 2: Monday 27 April to Friday 12 June
