Eleanor Bladen

Eleanor Bladon is a 20yr old student cellist at the ANU who is available to be hired as a soloist for events.
Eleanor Bladon, originally from Melbourne, has been studying cello since formative years. She has partaken in orchestral programs such as ‘Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ throughout her schooling, and now at university, where she is undertaking her third year of a Bachelor of Music with a double major in cello performance, and composition. Eleanor has performed as a soloist on many occasions; and has partaken in events such as performances at Government House for the Victorian State Governor; and even played in the backing orchestra for the rock band ‘Foreigner’.
Eleanor is well-versed in not only standard repertoire for cello playing, but also alternative and avant-garde pieces. As a composer, she has accumulated a folio of her own works for performance, but also has a unique eye for repertoire out of the ordinary, and is open to perform whatever the brief might require of her.
