Endowment for Performance Excellence

Music has been, and remains, central to how Australian society imagines, and celebrates itself, its past, and its ever-developing relationships with the rest of the world.

Central to sustaining a musical culture of depth and ambition is the nurturing of exceptional performance talent in Australian youth—people who can embody and inspire musical creativity, innovation and skill of the highest value.

The School of Music at ANU has had a long and distinguished record of achievement in performance teaching. In accordance with the School's educational mission, and its role in the cultural life of the nation’s capital, the newly established Endowment for Performance Excellence will help the School maintain and grow its capacity to achieve pre-eminence in music performance training into the future.

Through generous donations already received, the Endowment currently supports enhancements to instrumental and vocal tuition in the School, particularly at the honours and graduate level.
