Friends Ensemble Prize 2026
The Friends of the ANU School of Music established its ensemble prizes to promote ensemble playing in the tertiary student cohort, in all musical genres taught at the ANU School of Music.
The Ensemble Prize Finals will be held on Thursday the 14th of May in the Big Band Room.
Prizes will be awarded in two categories:
- the Friends Chamber Music Prize (First Prize $1,000, People's Choice $500); and
- the Friends Jazz and Contemporary Music Prize (First Prize $1,000, People's Choice $500)
Please send your
- ensemble name,
- team members and instruments,
- pieces, composers, performance duration,
- contact person and any technical requirements
to Anna.McDonald@anu.edu.au by 10th of May
The Classical Ensembles Concert will begin at 6.00pm in the Larry Sitsky Recital Room, followed by the Jazz & Contemporary Ensembles Concert at 7.30pm in the Big Band Room. Please note that soundchecks for the Jazz & Contemporary ensembles will take place from approximately 6.30pm.
