Rebecca Timoney

Flautist Rebecca Timoney was born and raised in Western Australia and completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Australia, majoring in performance.

In 2006 Rebecca completed her Post-Graduate study with Virginia Taylor at the Canberra School of Music.

Rebecca has a particular interest in chamber music and has enjoyed playing with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Canberra Pops Orchestra, the WA Elandra Ensemble, the West Australian Jazz Orchestra and has toured with artists such as Kate Ceberano and James Morrison.

She recently spent a year playing with the United Arab Emirates National Orchestra and is happy to be back teaching and performing in Canberra.
