Llewellyn Hall

Llewellyn Hall is one of Australia's finest concert halls. It has a total capacity of 1335; 960 in the stalls (1.05MB PDF) and 375 in the gallery (433KB PDF).

The regular performances at Llewellyn Hall by staff and students of the ANU School of Music as well as many visiting orchestras, ensembles and artists make Llewellyn Hall a hub for cultural activity in Canberra. Llewellyn Hall hosts the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra, Musica Viva and many local and international touring ensembles.

Llewellyn Hall has comprehensive Audio Visual facilities for use with your next event.  We offer in house, large format projection systems for PowerPoint presentations and video packages.

We have complete audio and lighting production facilities for conferences, panel discussions, lectures and interviews. We also offer full audio and video recording services for broadcast and archival purposes and we have in house facilities for high quality live video streaming for public or private audiences.

Peter Karmel Building

The Peter Karmel Building is a state of the art facility that is home to the ANU School of Music Jazz and Percussion areas as well as the Centre for New Media Arts.

It consists of the multi-functional Big Band Room that holds 145 removable seats and cabaret tables, and can be used for a variety of roles including, jazz, rock and classical concerts, rehearsals, conferences, functions and receptions. It is equipped with a colour and white lighting rig and a fully functional audio system.

Larry Sitsky Recital Room

Larry Sitsky Recital Room is a versatile space, ideal for recitals, conferences, master-classes, seminars, rehearsals and receptions. It has acoustic panelling and removable seating for up to 120.
