The Community Music Centre helps facilitate four Hip Hop & Songwriting workshops each year. Run in collaboration with either the Tuggeranong Arts Centre or the Woden Youth Centre, these day workshops provide the opportunity for participants to hone various skills such as lyric-writing, songwriting, and music production.

Workshop 1

Songwriting: A Creative Process

AGES: 10 – 18

In this session, students will be guided through the creative process of songwriting, from the initial spark of an idea to a fully written, cohesive song. Throughout the day, students will write a song as a group, guided by Daniel, and will leave with a completed written copy of the song, as well the tools utilised to form inspiring, compelling, and emotive stories in the process of songwriting.
