Wamburang Women's Choir


The Wamburang Women’s Choir is a choir for First Nations women of all ages and levels of experience. Lead by Alinta Barlow – proud Ngunnawal woman with many years of experience in singing and performing around Canberra – the choir focuses on contemporary music and Indigenous languages of Australia. The choir meets weekly on Monday afternoons during term time with the goal of working towards an end of semester and year performances for family and friends.


All ages and levels of experience

Mondays, 5:30 – 7:00 pm during term time





This program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women of all ages and levels of experience.

Semester 1

Term 1: Friday 9 February – Thursday 28 March (7 weeks)

Term 2: Monday 29 April – Friday 14 June (7 weeks)

Mid-year Concert: Monday 24 June


Semester 2

Term 3: Monday 22 July – Friday 20 September (9 weeks)

Term 4: Monday 14 October – Friday 15 November (5 weeks)

End of Year Concert: Monday 25 November
