Music and the Gyuto Monks of Tibet (2014-2018)
SHARE
In 2014, Prof. Kim Cunio commenced work with this landmark Tibetan Buddhist ensemble, who express one of the greatest musical lineages of the world. The Gyuto monastery has trained its practioners for close to 1,500 years, in what is widely regarded as the most significant extant tradition of harmonic chanting. The project has comprised a new symphony, national and international collaborations, and two studio albums. Listen to music from this project here.
