Rachmaninoff Performance Diary (2006-)
SHARE
The Rachmaninoff Performance Diary is an ongoing project by Scott Davie. Spanning almost two decades, the project incorporates original research undertaken in Moscow and Washington, published sources in English and Russian, and the unpublished research of Dr Sophia Satina, Rachmaninoff's sister-in-law. Available as an online database since 2009, the Diary has appeared as two editions so far, recording every known performance and recording session of the Russian musician. Dr Satina's research forms the previously missing link in Rachmaninoff's performance career, chronicling the precise program details of over 1,000 piano recitals. This later data has is soon to be uploaded to the Diary, marking the third edition, which will bring the project full circle. Access the Rachmaninoff Performance Diary here.
